This procedure works beautifully on most skin types. However, there are a few conditions to be aware of before booking.
When you arrive for your first lash lift at Browboss in La Jolla or San Diego, you’ll be welcomed into a relaxing treatment room and invited to lie down on a comfortable beauty bed. Unlike a waxing appointment, you won’t be able to use your eyes or scroll on your phone during the session, this helps ensure perfect, even results. The process is painless, though you may feel slight eye watering, which is completely normal and won’t affect your treatment.
Step 1: Gentle Preparation
Your lash artist will place soft silicone pads over your closed eyelids. Each natural lash is carefully lifted and secured to the shield. A gentle lifting serum is applied to soften the lash bonds (keratin), allowing them to take on their new, beautifully curled shape.
Step 2: Lash Tinting for Extra Definition
Once your lashes are perfectly molded, a custom tint is applied to deepen their color and enhance the lifted look. This step eliminates the need for mascara for weeks. After processing, the tint is removed, the silicone pads are gently taken off, and your eyes are revealed with stunning, lifted lashes.

- Come to your appointment without any eye makeup.
- Avoid using waterproof mascara 2-3 days prior as it can leave a residue that may prevent lashes from lifting properly.
- Avoid curling your natural lashes with a lash curler for 24 hours prior to your appointment.
- Ensure that you do not have an eye infection or irritation of the eye area - as treatment cannot be performed until this has cleared up.
- If you have had Lasik surgery, you must wait a minimum of 6 months from the time of your procedure.
- If you haven’t filled out the consent form prior to your appointment, come a little early to complete it.
- We can not do a Lash Lift & Tint if you currently have extensions.
- Remove contact lens before appointment.

After Care

Initial 24 Hours: Keep your lashes completely dry to ensure the lift sets properly; avoid water, steam, and swimming pools. Refrain from using mascara and all waterproof cosmetics during this period. It's crucial to sleep on your back or side to keep your lashes off the pillow.
First 48 Hours: Continue to handle your lashes gently. Avoid any actions that might stress them, such as rubbing, pulling, or using eyelash curlers, which can weaken and damage the lashes.
General Care: Always remove eye makeup gently using a non-oily makeup remover to prevent any damage. If necessary, brush your lashes gently with a lash brush to maintain neatness and separate any clumps.
Avoid Certain Products: For the first two days post-treatment, avoid applying any oils around your eyes. Oils can interfere with the effectiveness of the lash lift.
Ongoing Maintenance: Begin conditioning your lashes one week after the treatment to keep them healthy and prolong the effects. Use coconut or castor oil, applying it twice a week. If you aim to promote lash growth, consider applying castor oil nightly.
Long-Term Care: Schedule your next lash lift and tint appointment no sooner than 8 weeks following the last treatment. If you experience any redness or irritation, apply a cool damp cotton compress to the area. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist for more than 24 hours.
